Private Family Reports

A Private Family Report or Single Expert Report is an assessment prepared to assist parents and the Court in making children’s arrangements. A Family Report is generally prepared when a matter is approaching a Final Hearing.
The Family Report will consider the child’s experience, age and developmental needs in addition to the family’s circumstances. Recommendations for future care arrangements will be made accordingly.

Short Form Preliminary Assessment Reports

A Short Form Preliminary Assessment is usually prepared during the initial stages of proceedings.
The purpose of the preliminary assessment is to consider the child’s needs and to provide future direction regarding interim live with and spend time arrangements. Additional assessments and interventions that may assist the child and their parents may also be suggested.
